I worked in marquetry in my twenties, creating my last portrait when I was 29. You may be interested in seeing this work. Unfortunately, since we didn’t have phone cameras in those days, I no longer have photos of some of the portraits: James Loughran (conductor of the Halle Orchestra); David Graham (Director General of SELNEC) and Segovia (my favourite!).
I do still have a “coffin” full of marquetry veneers – if you’d like them please contact me!
At the time I had a couple of successful solo shows, and appeared on local radio (and apparently photos of some of my work appeared on TV in Suffolk); then I left the UK for Mallorca.
